Recently, Xiamen University and University of Cincinnatti in USA signed the cooperation agreement in education of doctoral students. In line with the agreement and China Scholarship Council (CSC) program, from 2015 onwards, Graduate School can  recommend outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to University of Cincinnatti for a doctoral study, which will enroll 12 students of Xiamen University at most in accordance with its standard. University of Cincinnatti will provide enrolled students with tuition, and students can apply to CSC for funding for their living expenses.

University of Cincinnatti was founded in 1819, the second oldest public university in the US, ranking 25 among American public research universities. University of Cincinnatti ranked 200 in the world according to the Ranking of Global Universities released by U.S.News in 2015, whose preponderant disciplines such as music, design, architecture, biology and fine arts rank top in the USA.

For the school selection of the project, Graduate School will combine the annual government-funded overseas study policies to release the selection process around November.
