The 2016 Conference of Journal Academic Degrees and Graduate Education & the First Forum on Graduate Education Research was held by Academic Degree Office of the State Council in Xiamen during December 28-30. At the conference, some experts were honored as Excellent Editorial Board Members or Excellent Part-Time Editors. Prof. Tao Tao, executive dean of Graduate School, was one of them.

In 2016, the journal Academic Degrees and Graduate Education adopted 182 papers. XMU hit a record high with a contribution of 5 papers, ranking the 4th nationwide.

Academic Degrees and Graduate Education under the auspices of Academic Degree Office of the State Council is a professional and comprehensive academic journal on graduate education which has won the most popularity in China. It provides a platform for academic communication and exchange on the improvement of academic degrees and graduate education.
