The 2017 commencement ceremonies were held on June 18th and 19th for 7651 graduate students. Attenders included Zhang Yan, Secretary of the CPC Committee of XMU; President Zhu Chongshi; Li Jianfa, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of XMU; Lai Hongkai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of XMU and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection; Lin Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of XMU; Vice Presidents Yang Bin, Wu Daguang and Zhan Xinli; Pan Maoyuan, senior professor in humanities; Dai Minhan, member of the CPC Standing Committee of XMU; Assistant Presidents Qiu Weijie, Tan Shaobin, Zhang Jianlin, Teng Bogang and Chen Guang. The 2-day ceremonies were hosted by Li Jianfa, Zhan Xinli, Zhang Jianlin and Dai Minhan separately.
