“Co-crystallization of atomically precise metal nanoparticles driven by magic atomic and electronic shells”, a paper that presents groundbreaking research on the growth stability mechanisms of metal nanoclusters, was recently published in “Nature Communications” (2018, 9, 3357).

The research is a joint endeavor among the research groups of Prof. Nanfeng Zheng from the XMU College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Prof. Hannu Häkkinen from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, and Prof. Birger Dittrich from the University of Düsseldorf, Germany.

The research was completed jointly by researchers from the three universities under the supervision of Prof. Nanfeng Zheng. Juanzhu Yan, a PhD candidate on a collaborative training program between Profs. Lansun Zheng and Nanfeng Zheng, is listed as the first author of the paper. The research was sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Foundation of China.
