“Dehydrogenative reagent-free annulation of alkenes with diols for the synthesis of saturated O-heterocycles”, a groundbreaking achievement of Prof. Haichao Xu’s research group in the XMU School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, was recently published online in “Nature Communications” (2018, 9, 3551).

The experiment part of the research was completed by master’s degree candidate Chen-Yan Cai. The research was sponsored by the National key Research and Development Program for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (Project Approval No. 2016YFA0204100), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Project Approval No. 21672178), the Thousand Young Experts Program of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and the Special Fund for Basic Scientific Research at Central Universities.
