Recently, the research groups led by Fang Xiaoliang, associate professor from Pen-Tung Sah Institute of Micro-Nano Science and Technology, and Prof. Zheng Nanfeng from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering have cooperated to develop a new self-supported cathodes which can be used to make high-energy-density lithium-sulfur batteries. The paper with the title of “Self-supporting sulfur cathodes enabled by two-dimensional carbon yolk-shell nanosheets for high-energy-density lithium-sulfur batteries” was published on Nature Communications (DOI: 10.1038/s41467-017-00575-8) on September 7th, 2017.
